As a child I was always very aware of the emotions and feelings of those around me.  As I have aged this sense has grown and I believe that I am a naturally gifted Empath*.  Being an Empath has not always been easy to live with as I often found that negativity around me would pull me down, in the same way that positivity would give me a huge sense of happiness.  Over the years I have developed a positive way of dealing with this gift.

When I was 12 my Great Aunt introduced me to her close friend, a very old professor named David.  I would visit David often and we would have the most wonderful conversations.  David was an extraordinary gentleman who had seen the most amazing things through out his life.  Not long before David’s passing he presented me with a gift, a little wooden box that contained Tarot Cards.  It was not until years later that I realised that David must have sensed my gift of perception and knew that I would be a natural at reading them.

Over the next few years I studied the Tarot Cards and always kept them close by.  It wasn’t until I was about 15 that I gave my first reading.  12 years have passed and I believe I have developed my talent to a point where I feel at complete ease with the Tarot.  

*An Empath is highly intuitive to those around and is able to sense the true feelings of an individual even when masked.  Empaths are very in tune with feelings not just of people but life in general.

Tarot Cards

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, which can be used to discover issues and answers, as well as to predict the future in terms of probabilities.

The origin of tarot cards is unknown but it is speculated that crusaders or gypsies introduced them into Europe. It is believed that they were used in Italy in the early 1300s.

The deck consists of the minor arcana (56 suit cards) and the major arcana, (22 pictorial symbol cards).The minor arcanum consists of four suits, wands, cups, swords, and pentacles. Each suit also contains court cards (kings, queens, knights, and pages).The major arcana consist of highly symbolic picture cards with their complex meanings.

Each card drawn has a meaning, but when drawn in a certain order or next to another card the meaning can be broader and more specific.

A talented Sensitive can understand these various pieces of information and weave them together into a cohesive and interesting picture.

Oracle Cards are beautiful and positive. Each card has a message from a guardian angel that can help heal all areas of ones life.  

Healing Cards contain a healing wisdom drawn from the world’s great spiritual traditions and offer an application of that knowledge for everyday living.  They are inspirational and offer beautiful advice.

I can do a reading using just these cards or as part of a tarot reading.  These are great cards for those who are wary of tarot but would still like guidance.
